Excerpt from Father Vaughan's Article in the New York Times on March 25th, 1912:
"The Socialists say they do not care about our star land. We tell them we do not care about their mud land. They hold that this world is no drill place, but a pleasure ground, with roses, roses, roses all the way, and no rose with a briar. They would pluck the fruit and believe there is no forbidden fruit. Poor little third rate planet! You're making too much of it, my friends. You cannot stop sin and death, my brethren, and of what use is Socialism on a deathbed, which for the Catholic is the beginning of life and for the Socialist the end of life?
Oh, let us try to tear out of this country this poisonous thing called Socialism. Let us try to win its followers. With all our energy let us try to win them from this petty thing that offers them no home, no welcome, no friends to greet them on the doorstep."
My comment:
It seems we American Catholics, have failed in this mission, with so many Catholics supporting anti-Catholic policies and participating in the grave sins of abortion, euthanasia, physician-assisted suidide and embryonic stem cell research. 54% of American Catholics voted for the evil of this Death Culture president and for evils of Socialism where persons become as objects to be discarded/killed when the state has no use for them or they become too burdensome/costly. There is a lot of blood on American Catholic's hands, yes indeed. I guess killing 4000 innocent children a day in the U.S. alone was not enough...now we go out into the world to kill more defenseless little boys and girls and promote our disgusting Socialist Death Culture at the U.N. too.
